We are thrilled to announce that Appfoster was awarded the AI adoption Pioneer Award and was celebrated as an innovative frontrunner in the AI industry at the Mercer | Mettl HRedge Summit and Awards 2024 x ET HRWorld held on 2nd of May 2024 at The Leela Ambience, Gurugram. Some of the tech industry’s most celebrated individuals hosted and attended the event. 

Moreover, our beloved Human Resources Business Manager, Ms. Anu Sharma, secured a spot as one of the top finalists for the Chief HR Officer of the Year award. We are beyond proud of her and Appfoster’s progress in such a cutthroat industry. 

CEO’s Thoughts

Our CEO, Mr. Sumit Sharma, expressed heartfelt congratulations to the entire Appfoster team for being honored with the prestigious AI Adoption Pioneer Award at the HRedge Awards 2024. In reflecting on this achievement, he emphasized the collective effort and dedication that led to this recognition, highlighting it as a testament to the team’s commitment to excellence.

The theme of this year’s HRedge awards was “Workforce 2.0: Elevating people, embracing AI”. Celebrated speakers from around the country gathered to discuss the merits and demerits of artificial intelligence, its omnipresence in the human world, whether the effort is worth it or not, etc. The event was captivating. There was a constant debate about whether AI will replace humans or not. It was also about the concerns associated with it, about the L&D associated with it, about the role of CEOs and HR professionals in upskilling their teams and investing in L&D for AI, about how AI will be doing tasks and helping humans in assessing various parameters at their workplace. 

The concluding discussion of the event was whether AI will take away humans from Human Resources. There was a poll around it and 66% of the members present at the event voted NO. Hence, it was concluded that AI will help humans but that human touch will be required in the workforce for better experience which AI cannot provide. One of the panelists also mentioned that AI is artificial and we are the originals. So, to make a workplace encouraging, humans will be needed in Human Resources.

With an incredible CAGR of 38%, AI is surely one of the trending and most future-proof technologies out there. Here are some more numbers to discuss the stance of AI- 

– 48% of businesses around the world use AI in their core services. 
– 83% of the companies say AI is their top priority in the coming years. 
– On average, businesses can expect a 6% to 10% revenue increase from integrating AI (Statista, 2023)
– By 2030, generative AI could automate 30% of hours worked today (McKinsey, 2023)
– AI could drive a 7% increase in global GDP (Goldman Sachs, 2023)
